Adopted Spice, STAR # 1230

Found at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, three-year-old Spice turned out to be a great dog. All she needed was a person and now she has Meaghan. and her cat! Thanks to Ashley for doing such a great job as a new foster.

Spice is a three-year-old red bi female that was found as a stray at MCAS. She’s the ideal Aussie for most folks.. a little more settled.. she’s also housebroken and crate trained, fully vetted and microchipped. Her foster home is near San Antonio.

“Spice is a sweet, laid back girl who would fit in nicely just about anywhere. She enjoys wrestling with her 2 rowdy foster brothers but is just as content to lay next to the couch (or on your lap!) and be petted. She’s small, at about 40 pounds, but very strong. She does well on walks with a halter and doesn’t really pull or bark. She can catch treats, and she enjoys chewing the Nylabones but hasn’t shown any interest in playing fetch or frisbee.

She also does well with her foster sisters, 2 kittens, who she loves to lick. Spice is an alpha dog and would love to be the boss, so she needs a firm leader. She would do well in a house that allows her to continue building confidence in herself and letting her personality blossom. She hopes her place in the house includes sleeping in your bed and plenty of snuggles on the couch.”
