ADOPTED
Diesel, STAR #2168
We are so happy to announce that handsome Diesel has found his family! STAR Alums, the Blackburns (Buck, STAR #1564 ’20). We always appreciate it when families come back to STAR to adopt another Aussie – and we know this is the absolute perfect home for Diesel. Thank you, Beth for a wonderful foster job.
Meet Diesel 💙
Diesel is a handsome 8-year-old, 50-pound blue merle Aussie with a sweet soul, great manners and just the right amount of playfulness. He was released to STAR when his family downsized to an RV and wanted a better living situation for him.
This boy loves life! He’s perfectly happy relaxing near his people, soaking up some attention and enjoying a quiet day – but then bring out a ball and Diesel is ready to play! Fetch is his absolute favorite, and a Chuckit! is the quickest way to this boy’s heart.
Inside the house, Diesel is an easy companion. He’s fully house and crate trained and already knows sit, stay, shake and down. He doesn’t need to be constantly entertained and is happiest simply being included in family life.
At 8, Diesel offers that wonderful Aussie combination of playful when you want to have some fun and content to settle down when the game is over. He’s affectionate, loyal and ready to trade the hustle of his younger years for plenty of love, a good game of fetch and a comfortable spot near his favorite people.
If you’re looking for a sweet, well-mannered companion who is equally happy playing in the yard or hanging out by your side, Diesel just might be your guy. He has been around other dogs, cats and chickens – and he’s easy going with all. He is not tested around young children – but we suspect he’ll be just fine – but they should be respectful of his space.
Diesel is house trained, neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and current on heartworm prevention. He is currently fostered in a home Spring Branch Texas (north of San Antonio) – and ready to find his forever home. If you’d like to learn more about him or are interested in adopting, the first step is to complete an adoption application at the link below.
Diesel is an 8 year-old blue merle male and weighs 60lbs. Sadly, his family is moving and downsizing to an RV. They released him to STAR in the hopes of finding him a better living situation.
Diesel will be fostered in the hill country (Spring Branch) and should be ready for adoption early October.
