Ollie Trey, STAR #1992
Ollie Trey found a wonderful home with Brian and Donya, and he gets a STAR buddy in Lincoln STAR #1844 ’23. These two STAR pups are fast friends, and we are excited to find him such a great home. Thank you, John and Deb for another great foster job.
Ollie Trey is a well-behaved red tri male. 2.5 years and 45 lbs. who is ready to find his new home! From his foster home:
This beautiful boy is such a pleasure to have around. Once you gain his trust, he is a very sweet and loving boy. He generally hangs out pretty close to us, often as a lap dog.
He got along with our four dogs right away and plays well with them. He is crate trained and fully housebroken. We have also left him uncrated in the house with the other dogs while we’re out without any problems.
He’s a smart dog and is a quick learner. He comes when called and sits, lays down and shakes paws on command. We’re still working on stay but getting there. He loves attention and just wants to please.
Ollie doesn’t appear to have been socialized in his previous home so he will need a home that can continue to help him with socialization, as he still seems nervous when someone he doesn’t know approaches him. When we take him out in public, he’s not aggressive, just a little scared. We’ve had him out with strangers (adults and kids), and as long as they approach slowly and gently, he’s okay. Trips to the vet are stressful for him, but he did fine and allowed them to check him all over. He just needs a patience and a kind hand to show him life and people are not scary!”
