Adopted Georgia, STAR # 1263
Georgia is going back home. An owner turns in from the great state of Louisiana, she has been adopted by Mark and Valerie who live in New Orleans. She will have an Aussie brother, Buga and the two of them are already “non-stop”. Thanks to the ladies in Louisiana who bring us these wonderful dogs and to Erika for fostering Georgia. We also want to thank our past adopter of three STAR dogs, Jenn for doing this home visit.
Adoption Pending Georgia, STAR # 1263
Georgia is one of the dogs we received from Louisiana. She is a one-year-old 45 lb. red tri female. Here is what her foster home says about Georgia.
“I would recommend her going to a home with kids who can play with her or at least an active person that’s going to be taking her on walks and play with her with toys to keep her stimulated and out of trouble. Perhaps a family with another dog so the other dog can teach her could work too. We don’t have a cat but she is fine with our bunny. She cannot be left to free roam all day by herself she will have to be crated. it would be nice if whoever adopts her is home often or at least could leave during lunch to go and let her out. She likes playing catch with balls and stuffed toys so she rips the stuffed toys to shreds so she would need a toy that can actually last. She likes playing chase with my daughter as well. Leash walks good my nine-year-old can handle her and loads well. She does have an off switch you can play with her for a bit and then tells her to go lay down and she does pretty immediately. She knows kennel, sit, come, down and lay down. The smart girl just needs the training and patience of someone”
Georgia is a one-year-old puppy. She will have to be supervised. Her house manners will have to continue on a schedule. She will definitely have to be created when you leave the house. Georgia does not know any cats. Otherwise, she is sweet and playful and everything else that is an Aussie puppy.
