Bailey (Cookie), STAR #2038
Sweet and petite Bailey has been adopted by the Allen family. This family is savvy with the herding breeds, but this is their first STAR dog, so we welcome them to our STAR family. They recently lost their beloved Aussie Sage, and after taking time to grieve that loss, they were ready to love another and we are happy they chose a rescue. Thank you, Beth for fostering this girl (twice!) and loving on her until we found her a great home.
❤️ Meet Bailey! This beautiful 2½-year-old, 30-pound red tri–Australian Shepherd is as sweet as she is adorable. With her bright personality, happy spirit, and irresistible smile, Bailey has a way of making everyone she meets fall in love.
Bailey is the perfect combination of playful and easygoing. She absolutely loves other dogs and is always ready for a game of chase or a romp around the yard with her canine friends. When playtime is over, she’s just as content to relax with one of her favorite chew toys and enjoy a quiet afternoon by your side.
This little superstar has wonderful house manners. She is fully house-trained and hasn’t had a single accident in her foster home. Bailey sleeps quietly through the night, walks beautifully on a leash, and seems to enjoy car rides, making her an easy companion for everyday adventures. She’s also remarkably quiet—not a bark so far!
Bailey enjoys meeting new people and greets visitors with her happy, friendly personality. She lives peacefully with a cat in her foster home, choosing to simply ignore her feline housemate. She loves spending time outdoors, soaking up the sunshine, and, when she’s especially happy, she’ll flash the cutest smile that is guaranteed to brighten your day.
Bailey is the kind of dog who brings joy wherever she goes. Whether she’s playing with her dog friends, relaxing with a favorite toy, or simply enjoying life alongside her people, she has a cheerful, loving nature that makes her a wonderful companion.
Bailey is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and up to date on heartworm prevention. If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate Aussie with just the right balance of fun and companionship, Bailey may be the perfect addition to your family. Her foster home is in Spring Branch TX (Hill Country NOT Houston). If you’d like to learn more about her – step #1 is to fill out an application.
IMPORTANT: We do not deliver dogs to adopters – you must be able and willing to come meet the dog in their foster home. A home visit by one of our STAR volunteers is a required part of our adoption program and thus, adoptions outside of Texas are rare because of these two requirements. You must have a secure fence in place, and we are not fans of apartments for this breed, nor homes where the dogs will be home alone 8+ hours daily. All STAR dogs are adopted to be inside pets and family members only and all current or past pets in the home must have proof of being kept up to date on vaccinations and Heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $400 and trust us, we spend that or much more on dogs to get them vetted – all STAR dogs will be neutered/spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on monthly heartworm prevention. If you already have an application on file with us, you can contact us to let us know you are interested.
INTROBailey is a cute and petite red tri female, around 3 years old and 30lbs. She was adopted by a wonderful woman who is unfortunately needing to deal with some serious medical issues that will keep her from being able to give Bailey the time and attention she needs. She’s in a foster home in Spring Branch and may be available late-July pending vetting and evaluation.
