No dog deserves to be named Yap.!!

Available Dog The trip, STAR # 1264
The trip has finished his heartworm treatment and is ready for adoption. This small black tri male was found at MCAS. He is three years old and 37 lbs.

Here is what his foster home says about Trip:

The trip is still waiting for his forever home. He is a great dog. You might guess why he is called Trip: He wants to be so close to you that if you do not watch, you could “trip”. He walks well, knows “wait” and “sit” and “stay”, and learns quickly. He is always ready to play. He enjoys a “tug” game but surrenders quickly for a Cheerio. He enjoys a challenge. Trip will be a steady companion, the prefect definition of “loyal” and “faithful”. You will need to be consistent and insistent, sometimes giving him a strong “watch me” or “leave it” until he learns what you expect of him. After that, only a slight “hey” or soft “no” gets his attention. He is a great dog looking for a life-long friend.

Trip’s foster home is in downtown Houston. If you would like to meet him, please fill out an application on our website.
