Adopted Rowdy, STAR # 1348
Rowdy was returned to STAR a few weeks ago for being ‘too rowdy” Contrary to opinion, we think he is perfect and so do the Stewarts who have adopted him and are taking him home to Houston. They will have their hands full keeping him busy and working on his training. Rowdy is one year old and 65 lbs. mHuge thanks to both of Rowdy’s foster moms. Jan and Carrie for recognizing the sweetie that he is.
Rowdy is moving to Austin to live with Rachael and Jarrod.. and his new brother Koda. No more outside dog for him. Koda loves Rowdy. Thanks to Jenna for the home visit and especially to Jan who did a wonderful job with her first foster dog.. (she even made him a Christmas stocking)
Available Dog Rowdy, STAR # 1348
Rowdy is ready for his forever home. Here is what his foster mom has to say about him.
“Rowdy is a 10-month-old black tri Aussie. He is a huge ball of love! He will be your best friend and shadow. He walks great on a leash. He can sit on command and loves to play with toys and balls. He is NOT afraid of water because he wants to jump into the tub with you if you don’t shut the door completely!
He travels well in the truck. He loves toys, playing ball especially. He gets along well with dogs. He played with my Aussie and my daughter’s German Shepard all weekend long with no problems ( a male and a female ). He is a very sweet, loving dog, a little hyper but he is still a puppy. I think he would be awesome on hikes. He walks right by my side and he is physically active.
He craves love and attention from being alone a lot of the time.
He is potty trained and a healthy eater. He sleeps in a crate but he is already 60 pounds, so you will need a large one. Rowdy is great around cats and other dogs. He has not been around children.
He is fully vetted, chipped and neutered. The family that gets Rowdy will get a very lovey dog.”
Rowdy’s foster home is in Bay City.. and you will have to go there to meet
him.. If you would like to meet Rowdy, please go to our website, read about
adoption and submit an application.. or if you already have an application, contact this page
