Adopted Bob, STAR # 1268
Bob is a 5-year-old red merle male Aussie weighing approximately 50 lbs. He has beautiful green eyes and very expressive ears! He was turned over to the rescue when his owners moved into an apartment. “As Aussies go, he is rather a low key. His personality appears to be calm and laid back. He would prefer to just lay at your feet or simply receive your affection. He enjoys walks and is easy on the leash.
He is housebroken and not crazy about his crate and has recently been complaining. He escaped his wire kennel once as a result of a thunderstorm that occurred while we were away from home. Once out of the kennel, he had spent the remainder of the time curled up in the corner of our office and didn’t destroy or touch any food that was available. Loud noises such as dogs barking (even on TV), lawn mowers, and storms can startle him.
He came to us shaved, and his fur has begun to grow back nicely. He has undergone Heartworm treatment while in our home and that went well. He knows some basic commands such as sit, comes, and shake. Bob is highly treated motivated. He would make a great companion dog. He is very patient with older children. We have no other dogs or cats so I can not speak to his behavior with them. If you would like to meet Bob, please fill out an application on our website.
New Dog Bob, STAR # 1268
The Houston Humane Society gave us Bob when we went to find Honey. Bob was an owner turn in because the apartment would not allow dogs. He is 5 years old, just over 40 lbs. Sadly, Bob will have to be treated for heartworms. He will be evaluated by his foster home in N. W. Houston and yes, they shaved him before they turned him in.
