Adopted Zeus, STAR # 1234

Our sweet and wonderful Zeus has been adopted by the Lord family. Star volunteers that know a good thing when they see it. He will have an older Aussie brother and two human siblings. Huge thanks to Deb and Jim who fostered and fell in love with this boy.

Adoption Pending Zeus, STAR # 1234
Below is the bio was written for Zeus by his foster mom. Zeus is 2 years old and weighs near 70 lbs. He is a very large black tri with two blue eyes. He will not be adopted out as an only dog.

“We all could take a lesson from Zeus on how to treat others. He is a gentle giant.

He will put his huge head in my lap so gently just to get a pat or scratch. For all his size he is as gentle as a lamb when taking a treat or coming over to play. The best part of giving him a treat is that he wiggles his tail and shows me “thank you” with his actions.

He is very quiet but has barked while in the yard and once or twice at play. He loves my other two dogs and plays very nicely. He enjoys tossing toys around and playing alone at times too.

He fears being crated and being left alone to the point of destructive behavior. So he must have a 4 legged companion. The owner must have a safe room for him and companion while the owner is away.

He is good with children but untested with cats. He is a very laid back and chilled out guy. He almost looks sleepy most of the time. Lol. He could be a good therapy dog. His coat is very soft and I could pet him all day, so maybe he is my therapy dog now.

He is a big boy weighing in at a thin (I can feel his ribs) 70 lbs. He also has an abundant coat, so the cooler the better all year around.

He is an extreme escape artist so he cannot be left outside (locked out). This is why he is in foster care now. He had several owners before finding STAR. He uses a dog door and comes in and out at will.

I could keep this loving guy forever but that would mean no more foster dogs. My wish for him is to find an owner to return the love he is so eager to give to them.”
