Adopted Tori, STAR # 1204

In the months Tori has spent in foster care she has learned to trust people and other dogs. All thanks to her foster mom, Mary So Mary is keeping Tori as her new obedience dog. she is totally focused on her mom. Tori will live in the Heights with a Rottie, a Yorkie and another Aussie.

Adoption Pending Tori, STAR # 1204
Tori has been with us for a while and when you read her bio you will understand why While her brother, Kyle was okay growing up alone in a backyard, Tori became afraid of almost everything. She has come quite a long way from the very spooky girl who entered our program. She is exceeding affectionate to her people and will make a great alarm dog. Please consider Tori if you have no other dogs and no cats. Below is a letter from our girl.

Hi, it’s Tori – my foster Mom said I am a work in progress! Found abandoned in a backyard, I was scared of all the new things I encountered, including squirrels, cats, dogs, loud cars, etc; but now, I am getting used to them. Although not perfect, I am still a bit shy, I LOVE going for long walks with my foster mom meeting and smelling everything! I still bark at the joggers when I am running around the front yard, but settle nicely when Mom tells me to. I love to hang out with my Mom when she is doing yard work. Just the other day, I sat in a big pile of leaves she just raked. I love to ride in the car and visit the bank and dog training place. I am crate and house trained and usually settle on the floor in the hallway at night. Sometimes I jump on the bed but I like the floor better! When Mom is working on the computer, I am right by her feet. I am still scared of being brushed, but Mom gives me treats so I am getting better. The perfect forever home is someone who is patient with my insecurities, walks and hugs me. I need to be the only dog and no cats. I am 1 ½ year old and weigh 40 lbs. Love, Tori

Tori’s foster home is in the downtown Houston area. Please fill out an application if you are interested in meeting Tori.

Update. Tori is sleeping with the neighbor’s indoor cat. She still wants to chase the outdoor cats.
