Jax Red, STAR #1791
Jax has found his new loving home with the Spirito family. A fun future is ahead as the only dog in the family and thus, will be getting all the attention. This active family loves to go on walks, hikes, and RV trips and were looking for a buddy to join them on their adventures. They previously had a much-loved Chesapeake Bay Retriever they lost recently and after doing research on many breeds, they decided to adopt an Aussie based on their intelligence and energy level. STAR wants to give a huge shout out to Jax’s foster parents (Lisa and Clint) for taking this boy into their home and all of the TLC they gave him until we could find a wonderful adopter.
Jax is a handsome, affectionate, smart, and energetic boy that came to STAR as an owner release as they didn’t have time for him, so he was left in the back yard alone a lot. Jax weighs around 46lbs and 4.5 years old. He’s a Red Tri Male and has a full tail.
From his foster mom:
“Who is searching for a beautiful, loyal and extremely affectionate red tri male? He is right here in New Braunfels, Tx. waiting for his furever home. Jax would do great as an only dog home or a female who needs a fun playmate. He can live with another male, with slow introductions at first.
Jax is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, crate and potty trained. We just love this 50lb fluff ball and can’t wait to share his journey with you since he arrived at our home. He is truly a joy and will make someone a great companion.
Fill out an application and Jax will take a “paws” from his busy day and review it! Have a great day and thanks for checking in with South Texas Aussie Rescue!
There’s so much good stuff about Jax:
- Happy…Yes!
- Sleeps quietly in his crate all night…Yes!
- Follows you all around and lays on any blanket or rug wherever you are at…Yes!
- Potty trained…Yes!
- Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped…Yes!
- Would let you pet him all day long…Yes!!!
He loves the human and loves anything that moves (deer, butterflies, deer, birds, & deer, OH MY!). Champion chase of bugs and lizards.
Jax loves everyone he meets but takes a bit of time to settle with another male dog – slow introductions are key. Loves the ladies. One he warms up – he loves to play and wrestle and is such a love bug.
He’s a work-in-progress on leash and may want to chase stuff. So, leash training would be good. Because of his high prey-drive- we do not recommend cats.
If you are looking for a loyal, best friend to hang out with each day, fill out an application for Jax and let’s chat about the Aussie boy we have come to adore so much!”
