Annie, STAR #1974

Annie is one of our best STAR stories… dumped and pregnant – then ends up in the Austin shelter with 7! puppies. She’s been a good momma to her crew and has been lovingly taken care of by her STAR foster family. Now we are so happy to report she’s found a wonderful family to call her own.  Josh, Jerri and their teenage children have welcomed her home! Josh is an avid runner, and the family loves the hikes and trails around Austin, and Annie will get to be a part of all that!  Thank you, Brian and family for fostering Annie and taking such wonderful care of her and her puppies.

Annie is a lovely girl and very, Velcro! She came to us from the Austin shelter along with 7 puppies! She is young and still figuring things out but is slowly coming out of her shell and learning to play with the other adults. Though she prefers to play by herself with a giant squeaky strawberry toy. She knows her name, listens and really wants to be a good dog. She is always watching to see what kind of commands we are going to give her, though we are still working through the basic ones. She prefers to just hang out with the humans.  She’ll be ready for adoption as soon as the puppies are fully weened, and she has recovered from spay – late April is our estimate.

Annie is a red tri female found at Austin Animal Control along with her seven .. yes seven !! puppies.. Annie is approx. 1-2 years old and 45 lbs.  She will need to complete her “mom” assignment, be vetted and evaluated in her foster home in Austin.. Possibly available around the first of May.
