Adopted Oliver Black, STAR # 1144
Our wonderful Ollie has finally been adopted. After hours of training provided by his foster mom, Lisa. Ollie has gained some amount of impulse control. We also think he just got a little older. smile emoticon He is super lucky to have been adopted by former Aussie owners Eric and Kim who are up to the task. Many thanks to Shelly for sending Ollie to STAR and again to his wonderful foster mom, Lisa. Oliver Black, better known here in Hill Country as “Ollie”, is a playful, energetic 45 lb, male black tri who can’t wait for another day to chase butterflies, wrestle with his foster sister, go round and round in the backyard with his toys, balls or sticks and then find a quiet corner to rest up for the next adventure. Ollie is obedient, goes in his crate on command, knows to sit, lay, stay, is potty trained, good on his leash and sleeps quietly through the night. We are currently working on socializing with new dogs that come to visit. We don’t think our sweet Ollie had an opportunity to play with other dogs so we are teaching him how to be respectful of their boundaries. Ollie would do best as an only dog or with a larger dog to play with. He is beautiful, inside and out, and will make you smile each morning he wakes up to greet you. Would be great with kids and a perfect companion for a jogger! (not tested with cats) If Ollie sounds like the pup you have been waiting for then fill out an application and contact STAR today! Ollie’s foster home is in New Braunfels and you must go there to meet him.
