Brooks Black, STAR #1909

ADOPTED

Brooks Black, STAR #1909

Charming and handsome Brooks is heading home with Jennifer.  He’ll be the only dog and get 100% of her time and attention -and a young human boy to hang out with too!  Thank you, Pam for fostering and to Liane for the home visit.

Brooks came to us from the Bay City Shelter.  He’s a handsome Black Tri Male, around 2 years old and 48lbs.  Transcribed from his foster mom:

“I was picked up from the pound by this nice lady that took me to STAR and now, I’ve got lots of room to run and getting all the love and scratches.  It’s great here and I love having a doggie door and caught on to using it easily. I have never had an accident in the house, and if that doggy door is not available, I’ll bark to let you know I’d like to go out.

I am crate trained and have no issues sleeping in there, or with you- which ever you prefer!

Right now, I have free run of the house. Mom has to remember to keep things pushed back on the counter. I really try hard not to snatch things but sometimes I can’t resist the temptation.  Happy to help you out with that sandwich!

I do love my chew bones and a few of our toys. I have been known to sneak a toy out the doggie door.

I am a very sweet and loving boy. I am not hyper at all but will play with some of the dogs that board here. I am friendly with everyone but very shy at first. I come around very quickly when the petting and loving starts.

I would love to find my forever home and hope you would think hard about taking me home.

Very truly yours, Brooks”

Brooks has been neutered and is caught up on all his shots. He is also HW negative. Brooks also went to the groomers and did excellent. Thank you for you for your time and consideration of this very sweet and precious boy.  To learn more about him – step 1 is to complete an adoption application – available under “Adopt” on our website.  Brooks is currently in Sweeney, TX.
