Tobias aka Tobi..STAR # 1726

Congratulations to the Chandler family.. They waited a long time for just the right dog to fit their family.. and Tobi is their boy.. There was an instant connection.. Thanks so much to Leslie and Trevor for rescuing Tobi.. picking him up for AAC and then vetting, evaluating and fostering him..

Tobias aka Tobi is a 4-year-old black tri who came to STAR after spending a few days vacationing at Austin Animal Center. A big boy weighing in at 92 pounds, he has been enjoying long walks with his foster mom. While he likes walks, he really loves car rides and rides nicely in the backseat. Another thing he loves is his tennis balls, but his foster mom wishes he wouldn’t keep dropping them in his water bowl.

He is good with dogs and cats and knows to give them the space if they might need some. When it comes to people, though, he doesn’t understand personal space and that he isn’t a lap dog.  Tobi knows to sit, lay down, come, wait, stay, and heel… he is just waiting to find his human and talk them into letting him get his Canine Good Citizen badge.  Ideally, Tobi would love to see a human or two with a massive hole in their heart that he can fill. Due to his size and love to get as close to humans as possible, a home with tiny humans wouldn’t be ideal. He LOVES kids, though, and teenagers would enjoy his company.

Tobi’s foster home is in Schertz.. If you are interested in meeting Tobi, please go to our website, read about Adoption and submit an application.

From the Austin Animal Shelter, we have Tobi.. black tri male.. paperwork says 4 years old and 92 lbs !!!! He is neutered, cratetrained and housebroken.. We will be updating his vaccinations and seeing about that weight.. Happy boy is being fostered in Schertz..
