Stella, STAR #2000
Stella is our #2000th Aussie, and we knew we’d find her a home that is as special as she is! Claire is a super savvy dog owner, with experience in training dogs for Guiding Eyes. Stella will have an Aussie puppy to help raise (Cookie, age 4!) and we know she’s up for the task, as well as being Claire’s best buddy. Thank you so much Lisa for another great foster job – and letting Stella go!
Stella is a five-year-old Blue Merle Female, 44 lbs., fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed, and looking for the perfect furever home, where she can enjoy each day of her life with her human/s.
From her foster mom, Lisa:
“When Stella first arrived at our home, she was very skittish, especially with males. She was in a home with a single lady, so men are kind of new and intimidating to her. We are on week four and her sweet and loving personality has come out and she is enjoying her daily life with lots of wiggles, “talking” and spinning!
She is a very smart girl. Stella loves to go for walks, is always ready for her morning and evening feedings and her favorite thing to do…following you EVERYWHERE you go…not kidding! She is very attached to me, as she will be to you, and will lay right by you, follow you when you clean the house, head to the bathroom, go outside, go inside…you get the picture!
After a couple weeks, Stella warmed up to my husband and will tell him hello throughout the day. Treats, kind words, and loving pets have won her over!
She is not deterred by cats, squirrels, or deer hanging out and is very friendly to other dogs she meets. She has traveled several times in a car easily and is a perfect house guest.

Stella is a lovely blue merle female, approximately 5 years old and 40lbs. Her owner had to move and could no longer keep her so she’s landed with STAR and will be evaluated and vetted in her foster home in New Braunfels. She may be available first of July.
