Pippa, STAR #1966

Pippa is home! STAR Alumni, Sophie, was looking for another dog to love after death of Kiwi, STAR #881. Pippa is that perfect easy-going girl that will be a much-loved addition. Thanks to Pam for picking her up from the Brazoria shelter, taking her through her heartworm treatment and loving on her until we found the perfect home.
Pippa is between 1-2 years old and weighs 55 lbs. She has been completely vetted with all shots and has been spayed and chipped. She was diagnosed with an extremely light case of heartworms so we chose to complete heart worm treatment. She is now heartworm free, enjoying zoomies and is ready to find her perfect home.
From Pippa:
I will love you with all my heart and will be your best new friend. I will be loyal and enjoy learning all kinds of new tricks. I am crate trained (if I have to) and house trained. Keep an opened mind and picture what an awesome life we can have together
From her foster mom:

“Pippa is not what most expect to see in an Aussie. We were called and told that they were holding an Australian Shepherd at the Brazoria shelter. So, I go per instructions to pick her up. She was so very shy and reluctant at first and then started loving all over me. My heart sank at the thought of leaving her alone there at the pound. No, that was not an option. I knew with STAR’S help we could find her a home.

Through a bit of research, I believe we have come up with an Aussie mix. She definitely is red merle with a bit of a Catahoula. She is an extremely beautiful dog and so very smart. In the beginning she was very shy but came around quickly with my Barney and Luna Belle.

Pippa is very smart and obeys many hand signals. She possesses the best qualities of both breeds. Pippa’s personality is ever growing. She has not met a stranger and loves the very young and old. Her goal is to just please you in all that you ask.

Pippa gets along with all dogs and doesn’t seem interested in the chickens and the outside cats.”

Pippa will make a very loving and caring addition to any family.
Her foster home is in Sweeny.
