ADOPTED.. Poppy/aka Charlie, STAR # 1297

ADOPTED.. Poppy/aka Charlie, STAR # 1097..

Charlie is a 36 lb. red tri female from a shelter in Louisiana..
All fun and games and athletic ability..
Meet the Jorgenson family that live in the Woodlands.. They have
two other Aussies.. Two year old male Cosmo that needs a playmate and an older girl.. Thanks
to Elaine for sending us Poppy/aka Charlie, to Don
for the home visit and to Patti .. for fostering and evaluating
this little sweetheart..

AVAILABLE DOG.. Poppy/aka Charlie, STAR # 1297
Poppy was totally misnamed.. She is far from a flower.
She is sweet and affectionate.. wants to cuddle on the
bed and sit next to you on the sofa.
Yet Charlie is a super athletic dog.. She leaps 5 feet in
the air to better see that squirrel high in the tree.. She bounds
like a gazelle across the yard.. bouncing on all four feet.  She is light as a
feather and lightning fast.

She plays hard and plays rough.. She can nail the grown puppy
here that weighs a good thirty pounds more yet he still loves
her and comes back for more. So she will need a sturdy playmate
that can tell her to “back-off” when done..

Charlie meets other dogs well.. She loves all humans but might jump up
on little kids although she is learning to sit for affection.  She has not
been introduced to any cats.  She walks well on a leash after the first
block.  Charlie has perfect housemanners and is not destructive. She
crates easily and is quiet.

Charlie would do well with someone who wants a running partner or
who wants to train for dog sports.  She will fetch a ball and bring it back
and drop it.. She is smart, wants to please and
is highly food motivated.

Charlie is a beautiful dark chestnut red tri with running copper on her
back legs.  She is all of 36 lean lbs. and approximately 2 years old.
She is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and
microchipped..

If you think you might be Charlie’s person, please fill out an application
on the STAR website and a volunteer will contact you..

NEW DOG.. Poppy, STAR # 1297..
Young and cute.. Has not been to vet..Needs spay and vaccinations, HW test.. chip.. Can only guess 1-2 years and 35 lbs.. She knows nothing, not even sit..
Darkest red you ever saw..

UPDATE.. Foster mom calls her Charlie.. she’s very athletic and nothing like a flower.   She has been spayed, is current on vaccinations and is microchipped.. Now she knows to sit.
