Adopted Edward, STAR # 1312
The delightful Mr. Ed will begin his new life with Jillian as she begins hers. Just out of school and with a new job, Jillian has always lived with an Aussie. Ed will be her very own dog.. small but with a big personality. Edward was a stray found at the Conroe shelter. Thanks to Julie for picking him up and for fostering and evaluating him.
Available Dog Edward, STAR # 1312.. Below is bio from foster mom
“Edward (I call him Mr. Ed) has been a delight to have in our pack – What a personality! This 2 yr old is so funny, he can entertain himself, OR, his favorite activity is pestering someone at all times. The good part is when it’s quiet time, he settles down like the rest of us. Right now he’s pestering a stuffed animal.
Mr Ed is house trained, has learned sit, come, stay, wait. & he heels on a walk beautifully. Crating is an easy task (just open the door) and he quiets immediately. During yard play, off leash, he checks constantly, teases and circles the walker, comes when called and doesn’t like being separated from his playmate. He barks appropriately, plays rough if the other dog is rough, gives way to an alpha dog, loves to chase squirrels and will sit around a tree waiting for as long as you let him throw a frisbee/ball/rope toy and he’ll chase it down, play keep away and I believe he would be great at agility. He loves car rides, walks well on leash, is not afraid of horses, but will probably chase cats.
Okay enough of the good stuff. He does like to sit on the couch, bed or his master. With his confidence and security on high, he’s testing his boundaries, this the fourth week with us. That’s the worst of it.”
Edward is two years old, weigh just over 35 lbs. his foster home is in Cypress. Please fill out an application if interested or if you already have one, just let us know of your interest.
