Adopted Duke II, STAR # 1262
Duke has been adopted by the Grado family of Tomball. They have been waiting for some time for their dog and when he returned, they jumped at the chance to adopt him. He will be adored by two girls and live on three acres. Thanks to Deb for fostering Duke and to Julie for doing this home visit.
Available Dog Duke II, STAR # 1262
He’s adorable and he’s back. no cats !!! From his foster mom.
“Duke is everything you expect in an Aussie Pup. Barky, hoppy, happy … I call him jumping bean most of the time. This beautiful Aussie has all the charm and guile possible packed into one dog. His face is both beautiful and expressive with eyes that beg you to love him. Duke’s energy level is quite manageable and not off the charts as with some 1-year-olds. He is fun and needs to run and play outside and also needs something to keep him busy inside. He thrives on playing with other dogs and would be best in a home with another fun dog. He is respectful of his elders and when they put him in his place he falls in line.
We have begun teaching Duke boundaries. He is quickly learning to stay off the bed and sofas. Duke is not obsessed with our horses but he is focused on the cats. He will need a great deal of de-sensitizing to live in harmony with cats. He wants to rush out the door ahead of you but we are teaching him to sit and wait – definitely an emerging skill. He has other puppy characteristics but they are not overwhelming. He will continue to need supervision to assure he isn’t chewing inappropriately but as quickly as he has learned other boundaries, we feel with consistency in training, he will soon be well-mannered. Does well in the crate but isn’t happy he has to be there. No potty issues — will use the dog door freely.
Duke is affectionate and loving. He wants to be near his owners and will provide a lifetime of companionship to his lucky human. Good dog and will make a good addition to a family.”
In a nutshell very nice dog and still, very much a puppy will have to continue training and be supervised Good with all dogs Not good with cats Good with kids. Absolutely will need to be created while you are gone.
Adopted Duke II One-year-old puppy owner surrender. Adopted by his foster home, the Bulick family of New Waverly. Duke has two new sisters a human sibling, Sandra, and Aussie sibling, Lola. Cutest Aussie ever!
