ADOPTED.. Dakota, STAR # 1284
Meet Dakota.. a two year old red dog sent to STAR from a shelter in Mississippi..He needed to be treated for Heartworms.. His treatment was easy and now he is ready for placement.. Neutered, current on vaccinations and chipped also. He weighs approximately 47 lbs. He is one of those dogs that every Aussie volunteer who has methim wants to keep him.. A really good dog.. Below is the bio sentby his foster mom..
“D is for ‘darling’ ,A is for ‘adorable’ ,K is for ‘kinda REALLY cute’0 is for ‘outstanding personality’ ,T is for ‘teddy bear behavior,A is for awesome. My name is Dakota. I’m crate trained, I play well with other dogs, I am very lovable with my people, eat like a gentleman, and I do what I’m told. My chocolate color really draws the crowd – luckily I don’t come with calories !!!If you’re a nice loving person who will match the love I’ll give you, please contact STAR – my bags are packed, I’m ready to go”
Dakota walks very well on leash, seems to like kids and disregards the cats at the kennel. He is always ready to get into the car, likes to ride the console, and doesn’t want to get out once there.Dakota’s foster home is in Cypress.. If you are interested in meeting him, please fill out an application on our website..
