Adopted Cajun Fred, STAR # 1293

Fred was found in Louisiana tied out on a chain. His family agreed to give him up so he could have someone to spend more time with him.. Past adopters, the Quinn family from Round Rock will be the ones to supervise and train Fred during the next phase of his life. The girls are so excited. Really beautiful puppy now has a forever home. Many thanks to Desiree for bringing him to us and many thanks to Michael, Edith, and Ginger for fostering and teaching him how to live in a home.

Available Dog Cajun Fred, STAR # 1293
This beautiful red merle male Aussie is from Louisiana. His owner kept him tied outside no life for a puppy But a very nice lady suggested he could come to Texas and be a STAR dog and that’s the way it happened.. He got his name because of his home state and his foster sister is Ginger! Below is a note Fred sent hoping to find his forever home.

“Hi, I am Cajun Fred, and like all Cajuns, I love to Iaissez les bons temps roller!

I am about 9 months old and still full of “puppy.” I am good in my crate—for about 4 hours at a time during the day—but I sleep in the crate all night unless I need a potty break—and then I will let you know! Unlike what you might have heard about us Cajuns, we are smart! I mean real smart, I guarantee. In no time I have learned to “sit” (really easy), “wait”, “down”, “walk on”, “jump”, “stay” (kinda hard) and “come”.

I am loving and like all Aussies, want to be close to you. I am busy—I am all puppy, but am happy to be with you all the time. I would like to get up in your lap, and sometimes forget I weigh 50+ pounds. I really like shoelaces, but respond appropriately when my humans tell me “no!” Even then I have a gentle mouth.

You need to know that I might not like baths, but I am really patient as long as you leave my ears alone and dry. I am okay if you brush me – you seem to like messing with my hair, but I like to have a treat when you finish.

I am good on a leash, and really like other dogs if they want to play too, and love to visit with people if they want to visit— I told you I am an Aussie, right!!!! I like to play, catch, and run after a ball, and am figuring out that if I bring it back to you, you may throw it again!

I am healthy and strong and need a family that will help me keep active. I am enthusiastic and need someone strong, active and consistent because I like to be the boss sometimes.

I am ready for my forever family!
