Available Dog, Buddy Bastrop, STAR # 1238
Buddy’s owner was living in an RV and could not leave Buddy in it all day.. so she contacted STAR. He is a small, chubby blue merle male at 43 lbs. He is housebroken and crate trained. Fully vetted and microchipped. His foster home lives near the Woodlands and here is what she has to say.
“My name is Buddy Bastrop. I am a sweet 5-year-old Aussie who loves attention and being close to my foster family. I enjoy daily walks on my leash and since I’m still overweight they are great for my body! I’m not a high energy dog and only rarely play with toys but I enjoy a fun game of hiding/seek with my family!! I know some basic commands and am learning new ones daily. My family takes me out every few hours to go potty so I’ve never had an accident. I sleep from 10pm-7am next to their bed. My foster family has older kids and I’m patient with them but at times I can be fearful of men and strangers. I am learning to wait patiently in my crate when my family leaves until they come home. I’ve not been around cats here but I love chasing squirrels! My foster mom says she loves how quiet and calm I am. My fur is growing back after having it shaved before I was rescued. I can’t wait to meet you!!” If you are interested in meeting Buddy, please fill out an adoption application online at www.southtexasaussierescue.org
