Adopted Kingston aka Bulliet, STAR 1215

It has been a long time coming and today is the day Kingston went to be with his new family. He has been adopted by Charles, Taylor and 5-year old Trigger and will live in N. W. Houston. So much fun for everybody. Many, many thanks to Julie who had Kingston for months and then thanks to the Serreyn family who took over for Julie. Also thanks to Dr. Jeffries at FM 1488 clinic for fixing him.

Available Dog Kingston, STAR # 1215
Kingston is finally nearing time for his adoption. His broken leg has healed but he will still need someone to work with him on his rehab.. he uses the leg easily on long walks.. and needs to continue to strengthen his muscles. Kingston is approximately 50 lbs and two years old. He is neutered and totally up to date on his vaccinations. He is housebroken and cratetrained. He is good with older kids and cats are an unknown. He is good with other dogs. Kingston is a typical high energy good-natured Aussie. He will need the right home to bring out his full potential..

Below is a note from his foster home that is located near the Woodlands.
“Hey there, I’m Kingston and I’m a two-year-old ball full of energy! After being held back since December, for my broken leg to heal, I am now ready to get Moving! Even though all I want to do it run, Run, RUN I really do need to learn basic commands and leash manners. Mom has taught me “sit” and “down”. I need lots of exercises and when I am properly tired out I am good at laying calmly at your feet. Even while healing from this broken leg, I’ve still been walking about 1 mile 3-4 times a day. That shows you how important exercise is for me! I REALLY enjoy squeaky toys and balls and chewing on all sorts of treats that my foster family give me. I’m Highly food motivated so learning new skills doesn’t take me long. I’ve not been sleeping in a crate here since I have this big cone on my head. Instead, they put me in their laundry room at night and when they leave; I haven’t destroyed anything but I do prefer being with them. I Long for your attention and will lay by you for hours to be pet but if you dare stop I will actually tell you to keep going! Mom and Dad think it’s hilarious how much I talk to them! Mom brushes me, l don’t really like it but I need it! I’ll be here waiting to meet you!!”

New Dog
50 lbs Red tri male found in Liberty County with a badly broken leg. He appears to be 18 mos. old, very sweet and not neutered. He has an appt. for orthopedic surgery on Tuesday. He is resting comfortably in his foster home on pain meds. His foster home is in Cypress.

Update. Kingston is due to have his external fixatur removed the second week in March. At that time, we can decide about his adoption.
