Dixie Lee, STAR #1827

Dixie Lee, STAR #1827

Sweet Dixie has been adopted by the Moschetti family.  Dixie immediately fell in love with her new boy – Jack (pic).  Mom grew up with Aussies and wanted her sons to have that same wonderful experience so, Win/Win!  Dixie came to us from the Bell County shelter and was lovingly fostered by Gordon who took wonderful care of her while we looked for her perfect home.  Thanks, Linda and Bob for transport.

Dixie Lee came to us from the Bell County Shelter and is estimated to be 3 years old.  She’s 60lbs – so diet and exercise has been the priority in her foster home.

Once at her foster home – she was everyone’s favorite!  She’s great with men and with other dogs (even other females).  Dixie’s foster dad is very smitten with her and said she is the easiest foster he’s ever had – very sweet and loving – and he’d keep her if he didn’t have so many already (common story among us Aussie lovers, right?).

Her trip to the vet went great and everyone fell in love with her and her wiggle butt.  She’s HW negative (yea!), is now all up to date on her vaccinations and is chipped.

Dixie already knows “Sit”, “Lay Down”, and “Come here” commands.  She’s an awesome lead on a leash – but short walks in the cool mornings or evenings for now in the Texas heat so she does not overheat.

Dixie is an amazing dog – and just needs to get some of that weight off so she can live her life to the fullest.  Her foster home is in San Antonio and if you are interested in adopting, please complete an application – available under “Adopt” on this website.
