Dexter, STAR # 1803

Dexter has found his furever home with the Day family! He joins a very active family and gets an Aussie sister, Sunny. They are an Aussie savvy family who understand the breed and has rescue experience as well. His new mom is known as the “walking Realtor” so we look forward to a svelte Dexter! Thank you, Steve and Sue for another great foster job and helping this boy become a STAR dog.  Thank you, Jack for the home visit.

From Dexter’s foster home:

“Dexter is a big goofy boy. He loves to play. He is always trying to get us to play with a toy, but he will settle nicely in the evening when we are chilling. We have seen no aggression at all from him. And no counter surfing.

He gets along well with my pack. He will do well either as an only dog or with another dog. He and our young male Aussie wrestle about once a day.

He loves to go for walks and walks well with his harness on. We took him to Lowe’s and Petco and he did very well.

He travels well in the car also. He knows all his basic commands and listens well.”

Dexter is a blue merle male.. five years old and 70 lbs. He is neutered and heartworm negative..   He will need a new home because he was extremely anxious around the baby.. Otherwise he is  a very sweet boy.. We will get him  a home without a baby and a diet 🙂 .. His foster home is in Pearland.. Dex should be available for adoption at the end of February..
