Cookie, STAR # 1990

Cookie has found her FURever home with Donna who has always had an Aussie around – and is excited to welcome Cookie into her home. Cookie will get lots of yard to run around in and a ranchland to explore with Donna and her son. Thank you, Lisa and Clint for fostering, and to David for the home visit.

Cookie is a lovely Red Merle Female, approximately 3 years old and 46lbs. Cookie came to us via a family who had no fencing and had her tied up outside due to full time careers – they wanted a better life for her. Here’s the low-down on Cookie, from her foster mom:

“Meet Cookie!  She is a playful, affectionate and sweet girl who is fully vaccinated, spayed, house trained, microchipped and ready for her furever home! She’s been with STAR about three weeks (as of 4.12.2025) and has settled in nicely with our male and female Aussies.

Cookie is a very happy girl and has lots of energy, loves to play ball (she can catch it in mid-air and will actually bring it back to you), runs around the backyard in circles, enjoys going on walks (very distracted by deer, but getting better) and then will settle down and chill (usually under the bed).

She is an easy girl who loves to be in your space and give you kisses all day long.  She would be fine as an only dog, but I know she would also love an active playmate.”

Cookie’s family had no fencing at their new home and she was being tied out while they were at work all day… So STAR will find Cookie an indoor home.. Cookie is a red merle female, approx. 50 lbs. and three years old.. She will be vetted and evaluated by her foster home in New Braunfels.. and should be available for adoption around the end of April.
