Cookie Black, STAR #1881

Cookie went from a bad situation in Abilene, to STAR, and now off to live a great life with the McWhorter family.  This 4yr old cutie will join Rusty (red merle male) in adventures with this active family and gets a human boy to hang with too!  Thank you, Lisa for fostering and John and Bill for getting sweet Cookie to STAR and now her furever home.

Cookie came to us from a bad situation in Abilene – but since arriving at her STAR foster home, has been vetted, treated for heartworms, and given all the TLC she deserves.  Sweet Ms. Cookie (around 4 years old and 40lbs) is ready to find her furever home.  About Cookie:

Hey Friends!  My name is Cookie…Cookie Monster…Dancing Girl…Cutie Pie!  I am ready for my forever home so I thought I would give everyone a head’s up:)

First, the basics:  I’m a black-tri, spayed female, 44 lbs of sweetness, microchipped, fully vaccinated and all healed up from the many discomforts of my former, neglectful situation.  I can’t wait!  I have a natural, sunny disposition, walk excellent on a leash, go nicely in the crate, sleep all night, love pets and chilling out in special spots all around my foster Mom’s house.

My favorite things…feeding time, throwing a stuffed toy up in the air and pouncing on it, and eating ice.  I get along with all dogs and people.  Not tested with cats.

If you’d like to learn more about Cookie and qualifying for adoption, please first complete an adoption application (on our website under “Adopt”) and we’ll review and get back to you.  Cookie is being fostered in New Braunfels.

Cookie is the third and last of the dogs from the Abilene cruelty/hoarding situation. She appears to be approx.  4 years old and 40 lbs. We will know more after a vet visit. She is being fostered in New Braunfels.

Update:  Unfortunately, Cookie has heartworms and will be treated. Her adoption date should be near the middle of March.
