Bowser, STAR #1876

We love reporting when Alumni come back for another dog – and so we are happy to announce that Bowser (L) now has a brother (Theo, STAR #1681 ’21) and his new human, Austin.  We look forward to seeing these two dogs and their dad on all their future adventures.  Thank you, Steve and Sue for fostering!

Hi!!!! My name is Bowser and I will be 1 year old on Feb 6. Here are some interesting facts about me.

  1. I LOVE to cuddle.
  2. I love to chase a ball and I am pretty good at bringing it back most of the time. I am very fast.
  3. I love to go on car rides, and I am a good boy in the car.
  4. I love to go on walks. I am working at leash walking, but I am fairly good when on the leash.
  5. I am good with kids.
  6. I can be a little timid when meeting new people, but I am getting much better at it.
  7. I am a very SMART and good boy.

Bowser is a really good boy and is great with other dogs. He loves to play ball and he and the other dogs like to play chase. He has good manners and knows his basic commands. He is not crazy running around in the house, he settles very nicely. He is a very beautiful red boy and will make a great companion.  He weighs around 40lbs.

If you are interested in learning more about Bowser, please complete an adoption application.  His foster home is in Pearland.

Beautiful red male.. 40 lbs. and 10 mos. old.. Over the weigh limit for new living arrangements.. Bowser will be vetted and evaluated by his foster home in Pearland.. He should be available for adoption near the middle of January..

Update from Foster Home:

Bowser is a good boy. He knows basic commands sit, down and come. He doesn’t say well, but we will work on it. He needs a lot of socialization with people. They scare him. Going to start working on that this week. Not eating great, but he will when he gets hungry. He had his first vet visit on Wednesday and got a set a shots, needs a second series when he get neutered on Jan 9. He loves to catch ball and he is fairly good at bringing it back. He is a whiner extraordinaire –  but getting better.  He will go in the crate and doesn’t fuss too much anymore. And for being 10 months old, he is very calm in the house. Not a crazy pup at all. He is going to make someone a great companion. He and our other male dog have started playing outside, but as soon as the ball is throw he will go after it. He loves to climb in our laps and snuggle and he follows us everywhere.
