ADOPTED

Bodhi, STAR # 1771

Adopted by alumni, Christie and Don Goldston (past STAR dogs Pepper and Abby #155). This dog savvy family recently lost Abby and were ready to add a new fur member to the home. They love to have play time with their dogs including travel in their trailer, kayaking, and camping. They were up for a project dog – which is good since Bodhi has an unbridled zest for life, shenanigans, and adventure. Thank you, Deb and Sean for fostering and Joyce to help us transport Bodhi from the vet to China Springs.

Bodhi is honestly “a lot” of Aussie.  At 18 months, or maybe closer to 1 year old, around 45lbs, he is just wonderful, but he’s a project.  He came to STAR from the shelter in Baytown.

On the great side: he’s great with the smaller humans (but does show herding tendencies so watching that), potty trained, uses doggy door, sleeps in kennel, eats all his food, gets along great with other dogs.

On the “work on progress side”:  he drinks from the toilet, steals socks, thinks paper is edible, thinks cats should be barked at in the middle of the night (from his kennel), loves solo lounging in the pool, coming in house after pool lounging, trash can raiding, believes you are always playing tag and overall, an energetic lump of moldable clay.  He is a wonderful dog who will entertain you and give you lots of love – but he needs training and patience.

He’s a lot of Aussie, needs a lot of space, lots of time to learn (he’s smart!) and lots of TLC.  He’s sweet, loving and bonding quickly with his foster dad.

If you are interested in adopting Bodhi, please visit our page “Adopt” and read about our program and complete our application.

Bodhi is from the Baytown Shelter.. he is a blue merle male, 1.5 years old and weighs 40 lbs. . Today he is going to the vet for his neuter and vaccinations, chip, etc. Tomorrow he will be transported to his foster home in China Spring where he will be evaluated.. Bodhi should be available for adoption after the middle of September.
