Beau, STAR #2021

Handsome Beau found a perfect spot hanging out with Nancy and will go home with her to be a best buddy. Nancy recently lost her Aussie, Sadie, and when she was ready to find her next dog, she reached out to STAR.  We are so happy to make this match and know Beau will enjoy life with walks and back yard play.  Thank you, Caito for a wonderful foster job and to Brian for the home visit.

Looking for a little shadow? Meet Beau, a smart and handsome 10-month-old (estimated) red tri male. At just 35 pounds, he’s on the smaller side – but don’t let that fool you as he has a big heart! He came to STAR from the Austin Animal Shelter after being found as a stray.

He’s super motivated by treats and even more by a good ‘atta boy,’ making him a dream to train. More than anything, Beau is all about his people (with peanut butter being a close second!). He’s been going to doggy day care and does really well – getting along with the other dogs and well behaved. See cute pic on “safari” day at his doggy day care.

Beau is a total lovebug, ready to play or snuggle at a moment’s notice. While he’s a happy and playful boy, Beau also experiences some general anxiety with all things new. Not surprising given his experiences in life these last few months from a home to stray to AAC to STAR…  We are hoping to find a family who can give him a little extra TLC and help him feel secure.

Beau has been neutered and is fully vetted and microchipped. STAR offers a reimbursement program for training! If you’d like to learn more and possibly meet Beau, fill out the adoption application as a required first step.

Beau is an 8-month old Red Tri Male who came to STAR from the Austin Animal Shelter. He’s currently around 34lbs and will get to the vet for a full evaluation. He is being fostered in San Antonio and may be available late August.  If this is your dog, please be prepared to preset proof and cover our out of pocket expenses.
