Apollo, STAR # 1818
The Bradley family picked up Apollo (STAR 1818) to start his new life in the hill country with his new brother Shadow (STAR 1679) and can’t wait to get Apollo all settled in. They think he is going to fit in perfectly. Many thanks to our transport team.. to Elaine, Maria from south La, Gina and Neil from La. to Houston and Terry and Zee for meeting and overnighting this handsome boy. And finally thanks again to the Walker family for fostering him..GREAT JOB !!!
Hello! Meet Apollo! He is an 11 month old, big (46 lbs.), fluffy puppy! He came to STAR from a shelter in LA. He is very friendly, easy going and wants to PLAY! He has been fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and heartworm negative. He is housebroken and doesn’t bark except for reason. He goes into the crate and will be quiet but doesn’t really love it. He knows his name and basic commands.
He is very inquisitive and likes to watch and be involved in what is going on around him. Apollo loves riding in the car for the adventure that might come. He enjoys walks on the leash and is generally well mannered. He will pull when meeting another dog. He is all about making friends and future playmates. He loves to play with his foster brother, who is quite elderly and doesn’t have the energy to keep up. The only time Apollo finds himself in trouble is for being a pest. He has a high play drive and likes to keep himself busy.
His main behavior that still needs to be to be corrected is how excited he becomes when meeting new people. He will jump, spin, and almost lose his mind in excitement. He will calm down in 3-5minutes and responds well when a leash is used. Once he has settled down he gets along with everyone, including children. He also likes to try and sneak outside the front of the house so that he can go visit the neighbors and look for new friends.
Apollo is 10 mos. old and weighs approx. 45 lbs. He is from a shelter in New Iberia, La. Turned in for killing the chickens 🙁 We have lots of homes with no chickens:) Happy puppy will be evaluated and vetted by his foster in the Woodlands..Apollo should be available for adoption toward the end of April..
