Cas, STAR # 1495..

So the shelter in Vermilion Parish told us she was dumped in a crate on the side of the road.. and that she was 10 weeks old..  Looking at the teeth, our vet now tells us she is 5 mos. We are not sure what she is but she’s here, she’s cute and we’re going to adopt her to some  lucky family..

Her foster mom says this about Cas..

“Brains, beauty and brawn describe this feisty 12.7 pound, 5 mo. old female blue merle puppy perfectly!  Cas came in from LA with all the confidence of a big girl, and it has been her modus operandi ever since!  Cas is very loving, biddable and ready to learn anything that she can be taught!

Cas is not for the faint of heart who readily fall in love with her beautiful face however!  She will need lots of training, mental stimulation and a job to do, or she WILL find a job around your home where you probably will not appreciate her help!  Cas loves the water, even her baths, so if you participate in dock diving, I know she would love to participate in this sport!
Cas has good “dog sense” with the dogs that live in her home (she still can be a pesty puppy) and is mindful of the gentle corrections she receives from the resident dogs for at least as long as her attention span can remember.  Cas is crate trained and schedule trained and has a pet-sitter during the day while her foster mom is at work.  She currently has her own play area in a puppy play pen and stays there in the house during the day when she is not taking potty/play breaks in the yard.  Cas sleeps in a crate at night.

Cas is not recommended for apartments or homes with younger children as she is very “mouthy” when she gets excited and often the hand playing with Cas can be scratched.  She loves everyone she has met but she does play hard with people and dogs.”

If you are an active family, are willing to take Cas to puppy classes and would like to find a job for her to do, please let us know at STAR.  Cas will be available for adoption Labor Day weekend.  Please submit an application or if you already have one Contact Us.. Her foster home is in Houston.
