Past adopters Linda and Steve drove to Houston to wrangle Calice and take her back to Georgetown … She will spend the summers in Montana.. Many thanks to those caregivers at Gulf Coast for fixing Calice’s ligament damage .. To Vermilion Parish Shelter for sending her to STAR.. To Elaine for transport and most of all to her wonderful foster home, Terry and Zee for the many medical visits required..

Calice is 12 mos. old and weighs 35 lbs..She was hit by a car in La. and needed help.. No bones are broken and we are watching her carefully.. She is a sweetheart.. Do we think her name is Cajun for Khaleesi.?? Fostered and evaluated in the Houston Heights. Available sometime in Sept.
UPDATE.. Cali has had ligament surgery at Gulf Coast.. She is doing well.. but it will be a while until she is ready to be adopted.. She’s an affectionate girl that loves toys..
ANOTHER UPDATE… Cali is making great progress..Gulf Coast has removed 1/2 of her external fixature and she is walking.. The rest should come off near the end of October.. She should be ready for rehab and adoption by the middle of November.. or before..
