Willie, STAR # 1731

Willie (now Jack), a sweet, energetic puppy that was dumped behind a convenience store in West Texas has landed in the wonderful home of the Taylor family.  Jack gets three young humans to play with and while the whole family will love on him, this will be their son’s first pet responsibility and he’s so excited about it.  Thank you, John and Michelle for getting this dog to STAR and the transport.  And many thanks to Gaylene for loving, training, and fostering him, and for the home visit too!

Willie is a very sweet, energetic puppy.  He was dumped behind a convenience store in West Texas and landed safely in a wonderful STAR foster home who has taken care of his health needs.  He’s “all puppy” and loves treats.  Also loves shoes, gloves, socks, and anything else that looks fun to play with and chew up.  If something interests him, indoors or out and regardless of what it is, he’ll will drag it to his bed for further investigation.  He’s quick and fearless.  Nearly house trained and he’s so smart and catching on quickly – accidents are very infrequent.  He loves all other dogs including his German Shepherd playmate (loves his tail!) and has two speeds – play and sleep.  He loves to snuggle at rest time.  He’s spent lots of supervised time around a toddler and is well behaved.   He is on the smaller side – roughly 15lbs and we estimate him to be around 4 months old.
