ADOPTED
Taz, STAR #1933
Taz hit the jackpot and is heading home with the Minet family. This retired couple are ready to give this good boy TLC with lots of walks and backyard play. They recently lost their Aussie, and Taz will be a great addition to their lives. Thank you, Ana and Aneesa for the excellent foster job for this boy who wound up at your home one day as a stray – he was so lucky to find you and STAR.
Taz is a lovely black tri male, approximately 5 years old and 50lbs. He wandered up to his foster home as a stray, looking worse for the wear. This wonderful home fostered Taz for STAR and helped him get to a healthy state. All about Taz, from his foster mom:
“This sweet boy was given the name Taz. He wandered onto our property one morning looking worse for wear in early August. We were immediately charmed by his gentle demeanor and pretty brown eyes.
Taz is microchipped, but that only led us to his breeder and not his previous owners. We worked with STAR to get Taz neutered, vaccinated, and on heartworm treatment, since the poor boy wound up heartworm positive. He is receptive to his treatment and takes all of his medicine (hidden in
treats of course).
Taz is a sweet boy who loves to hang out. He is free roam in the house throughout the day and sleeps in his crate comfortably at night. If someone is in the living room, he loves to be around them—whether he’s sitting by your feet or laying at your side; Taz wants to be there.
He seems to come from a household that didn’t have cats, as he regularly tries to herd ours. We are a multi-dog household, but we believe that Taz would do best being the only dog in your home as he craves being the single object of your attention and affection.
He is very social with humans, and kind with young children. Taz is comfortable being alone, he loves to lay out on the carpet or sunbathe in the yard. He is a gentle young boy, a black tri male and 56 lbs of soft, gorgeous fur.
Taz enjoys going on walks when he can. He is a talkative young man when it comes to food; he has a big appetite! He enjoys chewing on bones, getting treats, and the occasional ball. He’s a very smart boy and loves to play with the puzzle toy we have for him.
He is a quick study, a good listener, and a loving boy who deserves to be cherished by a forever family.”
If you’d like to learn more about Taz, complete an adoption application and we’ll get in touch with you. He is being fostered in NW Houston.
This friendly boy wandered up to a home in a large subdivision in N. W. Houston. He has been posted everywhere. Microchip is registered to the breeder who had no clue. Taz is 55 lbs. and approx. 4-5 years old. Black tri male.. He is a found dog. If this is your dog, please be prepared to present vet records, photos and be willing to pay our expenses. In the meantime, Taz will be fostered in N. W. Houston for evaluation, and we will be getting him all necessary vet work. He should be available for adoption around the middle of September..
UPDATE: Sadly, Taz has heartworms and thus he will be treated and may be available mid-November.
