Tank, STAR #1945

Happy New Year to both Tank #1945 and the Migues family!  Tank has been adopted by this wonderful couple, and he’ll be their 4th STAR dog (Sadie, Jack and Astro). Another great foster job and adoption at Aussie Acres by Pam and thank you to Karri for transport.

Hello, my name is Tank, so excited to get started on my new life thanks to STAR. I am a handsome male, red merle with beautiful blue eyes, 4 1/2 years old and 56 lbs. From my Tank himself, as interpreted by his foster mom:

“The people who released me had me shaved (which is a no no). So, at this point my coat is growing back. I AM beautiful now… but just wait until my fur has grown back out!

I am house and crate trained. I do have one bad issue. If you leave me unattended in the backyard, I will find a way to go looking for you. I also have one more confession, I have taken out three chickens… they were tasty but should not be in my future – so no life stock and best for no cats.

Foster mom allows me to be free in the house day and night. I don’t chew things up or counter surf. Although I do love to eat. It my second passion besides you. I am very food driven.

I have been out on several outings and so enjoy being in the community. I have no problem with men or women, and I love children. I need more work on leash training. But I won’t venture far from my person.

When turned in I was heart worm positive, but STAR took care of that with treatment, and I’ve got the vet’s “perfect” status now.  I am totally updated on all my shots, neutered and microchipped.

I will be your very best friend, and I will be loyal to you and your family. I will give you ALL the LOVE I have. All I ask in return for is that you give me your love and loyalty in return. I will stay right with you wherever you go, promise.

Oh, I forgot something very important I get along with other dogs. Not a big barker and don’t dig.

Thank you so much for your consideration, I’ll be waiting for you.”

To learn more about Tank and possibly go meet him – please fill out an adoption application (website, under adopt).  Tank’s foster home is in Sweeney.
