Shila, STAR # 1780

Aussie savvy adopter Daniel knew exactly what he wanted in a companion.. He selected Shila.. spunky yet settled.. This is not her first rodeo but we definitely hope it’s her last.. Huge thank you to Lynn and Don for another great foster job.. !!!

My name is Shila and I am an 8-year-old Red-Tri Australian Shepherd.  I came to STAR when my owner couldn’t keep me due to unfortunate circumstances.  I am so smart and have lots of good manners. I learn new things very quickly and am very curious about my surroundings. I love people and friendly dogs. My favorite thing is to chase a tennis ball and I also like to chew on bones. I love to watch TV and get very excited when I see a dog on the screen. I love to go on walks, but I do pull on my leash and want to chase squirrels when they run by me. I am very good in my kennel and sleep quietly all night. When my person takes me for a car ride, I really enjoy it and am always ready to go. If you talk to me, I will probably talk back as I am a little sassy.

Shila weighs around 50lbs.  She is not tested with cats or young children – so any introductions would need to be slow and well managed.  If you’d like to apply to adopt Shila, please complete the application on our “Adopt” page where you can read about STAR’s adoption program and then the application is at the bottom of the page.

Shila is a red tri female.. She is approx. 8 years old and 40 lbs. She is a good girl whose family lost their home.. She will be vetted and evaluated by her foster family in the Woodlands and should be available for adoption the middle of October..
