Reyna, STAR #1778

ADOPTED

Reyna, STAR #1778

Reyna #1778 was adopted by Scott and Ana. This Aussie savvy family lost their two Aussie girls within about a year of each other and were devastated. Django was missing his fur buddies too and needed a high energy playmate. In comes Reyna to save the day with endless energy and she also needed a buddy. Both get to run around the property and a donkey friend to run the fenceline. Welcome to the STAR family! Many, many thanks to Mike and Cinnamon for their love, patience and dedication to Reyna. Thank you, Brian Jones for the home visit.

Reyna is just only around 1 year old and 40lbs.  She was an owner release who had not been given much time nor attention her first 8 months of life.  Upon arrival at STAR, she needed lots of TLC.  Our STAR foster home has been working with a professional dog behaviorist and trainer to focus on her canine good citizen skills.

Reyna needs a dog-savvy home that will invest in her continued training with patience and commitment.  She is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and HW-.  More about Reyna:

Hello, my name is Reyna!  I am a Black Tri Female who has puppy tendencies, but I am extremely intelligent and learn very fast. I know how to: Sit, down, and hand target. I know my name and respond immediately when I am called. I am potty-trained and crate trained, with treats of course. I sleep in my crate at night with no issues. My favorite game is tug of war and fetch.

I would be good in a household as an only dog or a young playmate that can match my energy level.  I need a home that helps me feel safe because I was left on a porch for the first 8 months of my life which made me very fearful. I will need time to adjust to my new home and new people. I need someone who is kind and understands sometimes this is a big scary world to me. I am learning mat training, taking lots of trips in public, and lots of other good behaviors.  I take a little time to warm up, but once I feel safe, I will be the best dog ever. I’m entertaining, playful and loving.

If you are interested in meeting Reyna, please fill out an adoption application – available under “Adopt”.  Her foster home south of Houston, near the coast.  A full detail of her evaluation and training recommendations will be provided to the adopter to help her continue with her great progress.
