Rambo, STAR #1967

Three IS a charm! Rambo (top, center) heads home with Jordan and Aaron who are STAR Alumni with Fish #1684 (bottom, center) and also Brisby (r).  This awesome family spends a lot of time at the family ranch – which is great as this trio will have lots of acreage to run and get the zoomies out!  Thank you, Geneta for a great foster job.
Rambo #1967 came to Star from Conroe shelter where he was picked up as a stray. From his foster home:
“When I picked him up, he jumped into the car, loaded into the crate, and laid down happy to be out of jail. He was so good on the ride home. Once home he met his foster siblings. They immediately got along and played the rest of the day.
He loves to play but stops when the others let him know it’s time to quit. He is super energetic. He will chase the ball or fluffy toy but is not always ready to surrender it. Rambo goes in the crate when told “crate.” He lays down with no barking or crying. He will sleep all night in his crate on his blanket. During the day he has been left lose in the house unattended with no accidents and no damages.
Rambo has never met a stranger since he has been here. Everyone is a friend, male or female. Dogs that visit here are welcome and he plays with them. He will bark when someone comes to the door but settles quickly and quietly.
Rambo knows sit & shake. He knows stay but is working on the length of time to stay. He is very good on the leash, walks on the right side. He has also learned to ring the bell hanging on the doorknob when he wants to go outside.
He loves to be in the yard and really loves getting in the pool. Rambo is much better about not jumping on you but sometimes he forgets. Rambo will counter surf, so I just keep everything out of reach, and he is much better. He loves to lay on your lap and get lots of attention.
Rambo spent some time in boarding and the kennel said he was a great pup. He did not dirty his kennel and played well when turned in the play yard with other dogs.
I think Rambo would do great in an active home with lots of action, jogging, and hiking. He will make a great travel buddy as he loves car rides. He will be better in homes with older children as he tends to try to herd and plays rough. He is also fine in my not so active home but gets restless sometimes at night if we aren’t able to walk enough. Rambo really wants his own human. He will be a true Velcro pup.”
Rambo is approx. 2 years old and weighs 41 lbs. He is neutered and fully vaccinated and chipped. His foster home is in Tomball.
