Adopted Kerry, STAR # 1290

Kerry was found at the Kerrville shelter. A sweet mature fun guy who was in pretty bad shape. All the time he was in foster care a frequent visitor to his foster home was falling in love with this diamond in the rough. Today the Drake family took Kerry home to live with them. He will be able to return for playdates. Thanks to Mari for finding Kerry and to Julie for fostering him.

Available Dog Kerry, STAR # 1290
It did not take long to evaluate Kerry. He’s a super sweet mature boy from the Kerrville shelter.. approx. 6 years old. “Rode hard and put up wet” comes to mind. This guy must have always been outside or who knows how long he had been on the road. Really skinny and coat in more than the rough condition. Kerry weighed about 51 lbs. when he arrived but should probably easily weigh 5 lbs.

Here is Kerry’s side of the story written by his foster mom.

“There I was, sitting at the Kerrville Shelter, thinking life would never get better. I’m an older dog, had lost a lot of weight, my coat looked like a bad toupee, and I had the saddest look in my eyes But then I made a wish upon a S.T.A.R> Fast forward to today. I’m putting on weight, my coat is growing back ‘river red’, S.T.A.R. has brought the light back to my life, and I’m ready for my Forever Home and making yours and my DREAM COME TRUE…… I love car rides, I’m house/crate trained, I’ve learned to walk on a leash, I come when I’m called, and I LOVE to play ball. I don’t require much more than love, and my only downfall is I like to drive squirrels crazy. Please let me be your Valentine, by filling out an application, asking to take Kerry home.” Kerry’s foster home is in Cypress. Ask us for more photos. We have a video of Kerry playing ball!
