Mayleigh, STAR #1854

When the Jacks family saw Mayleigh – it was love at first sight.  13yr old Lamont gets a buddy and this family is back up to 2 dogs which is more like it!  Tonya and Kevin are serious dog lovers and Lamont has his own Facebook page – so assuming Mayleigh will get one too! This family is active in the Houston Rodeo scene and really love the hearding breeds.  We are so thrilled to find such as great home for Mayleigh and to welcome this family to STAR. Thank you, Deb for loving on his sweet girl and getting her healthy!

Red tri female approx. 2 years old and 37 lbs… Already happily playing in her foster home in China Springs. Sadly, Mayleigh has heartworms and will be treated by STAR.  She should be available around mid-December.

Update from foster home:  She is small and cute.  Her ears are adorable especially when she bounces like a rabbit. She likes to lay down to eat. She likes to watch animals on TV. She likes to run in the yard and lay in the sun.  She likes to play with other dogs.  She loves her dog bed. She loves attention and will give kisses. She has “her spot” on the sofa. She communicates with growls and whining. She has a distrust of other dogs and protective of her spot and her bowl. She can be wary of people especially if they are moving.

She is undergoing Heartworm treatment and will be available late December.  NOTE:  Adoption planned for this sweet girl as soon as she’ has the medical “clear”
