ADOPTED

Logan, STAR #2050

Handsome Logan has been adopted by STAR Alum, Jeanne. He joins Finn (STAR #1503 ’19) and will live a charmed life. We always appreciate it when our past adopters come back when they are ready to add more Aussie fur to the house!  Thank you, Nancy for the great foster job and Jack for the home visit.

Logan is a stunning blue merle male, around two years old with a slim, athletic frame and spectacular markings, weighing about 35 pounds (maybe a couple of more pounds now). He was released to STAR by his owner who did not have time for him.

He has been neutered, chipped and heart worm tested as negative. He’s ready to find his forever home.

He is always happy and robust and never far from you. He knows what is his to play with and what isn’t.  However, he also considers the counter tops to be an open hunting ground. this leads to keeping a very clean kitchen.

He will come to check on you and try to join you in your chair often, just because.  He gets along well with other dogs but does play a little rough.  When initially meeting a new person, he will bark a bit and want to do a thorough sniff check before becoming your best friend.

He needs structure to direct his sharp, always curious mind.  He is getting better about not jumping on people but often forgets in his excitement of seeing you.  He crates well, has his meals in his crate and overnights in his crate.  His is house trained but not perfect yet.   He does pull on the leash so he needs to work on walking nicely.  He learns quickly and is always willing to learn new things.  He is treat and food motivated and very responsive.

Logan is an owner release – they just did not have time for him. He’s estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs 35lbs. He’ll be assessed in a foster home in Houston and may be available late November, pending vetting.
