Jack, STAR #2019
Jack joins the Whatley family! He will get a fur buddy sister in Abby, the Springer Spaniel. A big back yard, some country living, and lots of walks are in his future with this active couple. Smiles all around and kudos to you, Jack for winning the JACKpot (pun intended)! Thank you, Terry for transport and to Steve and Sue for yet another great foster job.
Jack is ready to find his perfect home! He came to us as an owner release for not being able to leave the chickens or cats alone. That’s fine as we think he’s perfect and will find him a great place to call home.
Here’s what Jack wants you to know… Hi! My name is Jack. I am a 1-year-old red-tri male Aussie. If you are looking for your next new buddy, I could be him! I love to play, go for walks and go for car rides. If no one wants to play with me, I am good at entertaining myself. My foster Mom says I can be very silly. I love all the people and dogs. I love all the pets.
I walk pretty good on leash (working on my manners when I see another dog as I get a little anxious). I know all my basic commands and still working on “stay” – it’s hard when I’m excited for what’s next! I am good at just chilling and always up for a good play session. I would like to have another buddy to play with. If you think we might be a good match, fill out an application and you can talk to my foster Mom about me.
From Jack’s Foster Mom: Jack is a good boy. He can still be very puppyish, but not obnoxious. He loves to play, but my guys only play sometimes, so he would love to have someone to play with. He has gotten to go to doggie daycare a couple of times and has done really well. Also went to the groomer and did well for them. He does need to work on his reactivity to other dogs when he is on leash. He is really a good boy who just wants you to love on him. He will make a great companion for both a human and another dog. He has not met a stranger yet.
To learn more about Jack and possibly meet him, your first step is to complete an adoption application. Jack has been fully vetted, microchipped and he’s neutered. STAR has treated him for heartworms and he gets a clean bill of health from the vet.
Introduction to the Adoption Process – South Texas Aussie Rescue
Jack is a handsome Red Tri Male, around 1 year old and 50lbs. He simply would not stop eating the chickens and chasing the cat, so we’ll find him a home without them! He will be fully vetted and evaluated in his foster home in Pearland and may be available mid to late August. Sadly, Jack is positive for heartworms so we will get him the needed treatment, and his availability is delayed till late September.
