Gator, STAR #1919

Smiles all around as Gator heads home with the Sicola family. So much TLC is in store for this good boy with two dog-savvy small humans to play with and a female Aussie named Sadie. Welcome to the STAR family and Thank Yous all around to the STAR team of Ashley (foster home), Jackie (transport), and Jack (home visit).  Teamwork makes the STAR dream work!

Gator is a handsome red merle male.  He’s 4 years old and 58lbs.  He was released to STAR due to a divorce and moving situation and he needed to better situation. Since with STAR, he’s been fully vetted and evaluated.

Here’s a report from his foster home:  “He is a stunner! He loves people and other dogs, is fine with cats, and even enjoys children—though they don’t always appreciate him jumping up on them when he is excited.

Gator is beautifully crate trained, is mostly quiet, and is dying to please you so that you’ll give him affection. His leash manners could use a little work, and he is known to examine a kitchen counter or tabletop if he thinks you’re not looking, but otherwise he is a pretty easy keeper with occasional bursts of playful energy.

Gator could be an only dog or would enjoy a buddy.  He’d love a moderately active family with adults and possibly older children.”

To learn more, please fill out an adoption application first – and we’ll get in contact with you as soon as possible.  His foster home is in League City
