Frankie has another chance at a forever home.. “Frank the Tank” has gone home with Lynne and Terry.. This new home comes complete with playmates, Boomer and Jack.. So many thanks to Julie for fostering and sticking by Frankie..

AVAILABLE DOG.. Frankie, STAR # 1478
Franky has been returned to STAR.. His new older sister was reluctant to share attention..So he has been re-evaluated..and is ready to go..His
foster home is in Austin.. and here is what she says about Frankie..
“Hi Everyone!  My name is Frankie, or as my foster mom likes to call me, “Frank the Tank”.  I am just over 1 year old and like most other young Aussies, full of energy and spunk.  I have a wiggle butt that will make you laugh and I can jump off the ground like it’s a trampoline when I’m excited to see you!  I love playing with my fellow four legged friends and often get the zoomies going from kitchen to couch and around the bend until mom makes us go outside.  I love to chase the tennis balls, but I admit I like to then play keep away, to I’m learning what “drop means.”  I’m not a huge fan of water, but I’ll step on the first landing of the pool to cool my feet.  When the grooming brush comes out I like to go hide and I’m not super comfortable with grooming around my back lets, but I’ll tolerate it if you are slow and gentle.  I like the cat, and in general she likes me unless I think it’s time to play tag and then she’s not too fun.  I love to go on walks and very good on the leash.

I am crate trained, but I’d rather be beside you and follow you every where you go, in case there’s a snack to be had or so I can be first to sit next to you. I am competitive for food and attention – and can sometimes growl to ensure I’m first in line, but I do take direction well from my foster mom and my fellow Aussies.  I have a very loud bark and I’m learning how that’s not too ideal especially in the house when he door bell rings.

I’m a work in progress, but I’m friendly and fun – and did I mention handsome?  I love belly and ear rubs.  I think I would do best in a home where I’m #1 – possibly your only dog, or around another younger male or younger female that like to play.  The older dog in the house I’m at now likes me, but only from a distance as he’s not too tolerant of my energy.  I don’t know my size and strength, so I’m not the ideal playmate for young children – but if you want to play tug of war with me – I’m all in!

If you are looking for a fun, energetic companion that will make you laugh, I’m your guy.  Frankie is approx. 2 years old, 54 lbs. and fully vetted.. To meet Frankie, please fill out an application on our website or contact us if you already have one..
