Ethan, STAR #1896

ADOPTED

Ethan, STAR #1896

Ethan came to STAR in pretty rough shape, but with tons of TLC at his foster home – he thrived and was ready to find his forever home. The Hearn family knew he was a perfect match for their Aussie, Gi – and they’ll enjoy exploring a couple acres out in Conroe.   Welcome to the STAR family!  Thank you, Wendy for picking Ethan up off the streets and fostering for STAR.  Thanks Tim, for the home visit.

Ethan is a handsome red-tri male, approximately 2 years old and 30 lbs. He was found as a stray and was positive for heartworms. STAR has treated him and he’s now all up to date on all his vaccinations. From Ethan’s foster mom:

“Ethan is the sweetest boy who loves to give lots of kisses and loves belly rubs! He is very focused on his person – the definition of a Velcro boy who is excited to follow you around lay with you and sit with you. He constantly wants to reassure you he’s there with you.

He loves absolutely everyone/anyone who is willing to show him affection. Our home has 2 male Aussies and a female pitty – and while he does not show much interest in playing with them – he does respect their boundaries.

Ethan has learned to sit and go into his kennel when it’s feeding time and wait for his food. He is VERY food motivated. But not interested in toys. He’s not a barker in general he’s pretty quiet lol sometimes too quiet that we have to call he’s name. He does get very excited when it’s food time or when it’s time to walk.

The kennel is definitely his safe space. He will go inside without any issues and stay even when he’s cage is left open. He is not destructive at all and has good manners. We can definitely trust him to be home alone. (Just be sure to not leave any chairs pulled out or any food on the table) he does love to jump.

He LOVES to go for walks and enjoys the smells. He’s probably the best walker out of all my dog and the pets in the family. Walking with him is such a breeze! No pulling, no barking.
He is sensitive to fireworks and thunder he jumps on the bed to get comfort.

He’s truly a happy boy and we’ve loved fostering him.”
