Available Dog Zelda, STAR # 1412
Zelda is a beautiful 5 yr, 60lb. black tri female. Confident and, on occasion, sassy, this girl would do best in an active household who can provide her with daily walks, car rides, and plenty of activity.
While she isn’t considered your typical “velcro” Aussie, Zelda would like nothing more than to be with her person 24/7, so if you’re looking for a co-pilot to enjoy outdoor activities with or simply cuddle on the couch, then she’s your girl. While active, she does settle nicely and enjoys being groomed, cuddled, and adored when quiet. She would not do well in an apt. She is definitely one of those dogs that needs a yard. Being in an apt. would be too confining.
She would do best with another canine companion, preferable another confident or more submissive male and she also does well with dog-savvy cats. Zelda knows several commands, including sit, down, settle, stay, and has excellent name recall. She does have a moderate prey drive, so children under 8yrs would not be recommended.
Zelda has perfect house manners and, while crate trained, does not need to be crated when alone. Lastly, Zelda is learning to enjoy toys and loves anything that squeaks, including balls!
If you would like to meet Zelda, please read about Adoption on our website and submit an application.. If you already have an application, let us know of your interest.. Her foster home is in Katy.
