Clifford 2, STAR # 1759
Clifford was adopted by the Flinn family of San Antonio. Robert and Gretcha are adding this sweet red boy to their home with their two goldens, Cody and Sam. This rescue savvy dog family did a lot of research and decided an Aussie would make a great addition to their home – then they saw Clifford and “perfect match.” They laughed when we told them Clifford was a champion counter surfer, so we are looking forward to those Alumni updates! Thank you Deb D for the home visit, the transport team of Elaine and Connie for getting him to us from Louisiana, and to Steve and Sue Boyer for another great foster job.
Clifford came to STAR from the Louisiana Humane Society. He’s approximately 2 years old and around 40lbs.
Clifford is an energetic and playful affection seeker. He gets along with other dogs. I have taken him on some play dates with other dogs and he did very well Also sought attention from the human there.
He loves to catch racquet balls and frisbees and is getting better at bringing them back. He loves it when you pet him and will remind you when you quit. He will crawl right up in your lap to get all the attention. But will settle when we are relaxing and watching tv. He does need to be entertained or he will find something to entertain himself.
He does well on a leash. We have taken him to some stores and was good. Just wanted to say “hi” to everyone. Hasn’t met a stranger yet. Very well behaved on walks, doesn’t make much of a fuss at other dogs that are in their yards.
He is very loving and would love to be someone’s best bud for life.
Clifford’s foster home is in Pearland.. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.. If you would like to meet Clifford, please go to our website, read about Adoption and submit an application..
Clifford came to STAR from the Louisiana Humane Society.. We are told he is 2 years old, 51 lbs. and heartworm negative.. He will go to the vet for a neuter and be brought totally up to date.. His foster home is in Houston and he should be available around the middle of August.
