Charlie, STAR #1998

Sweet Charlie!  This lucky guy is heading home with the Garza family where he’s going to get so much TLC. The Garza’s lost their Aussie, Kawi to cancer back in March and were ready to find another Aussie join the family.  Thank you for reaching out to STAR and letting find you a great match.  Thank you, Nancy for another great foster job.

Charlie came to us through no fault of his own. He was clearly loved and cared for. He’s a red-tri-male, around 3 years old and 35lbs. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations as well as chipped.

He’s on the small size but huge in personality. He gets along great with his Aussie roommates (even the cranky one). He will go to his crate for his meals and sleeps overnight in his crate. He needs some assistance/encouragement going in for the overnight sleep as he may have had too much crate time previously.  Just a simple tug on the lead and he goes right in and remains quiet until morning.

He has not been destructive and sticks to his own toys. He is always close by you, at your feet or by your chair. He does bark some to get your attention.  Normally it’s for ear rubs, to go outside or the ever present “it’s time to eat”.

He will gladly join you in your chair, or if allowed, on the bed.    He could use some training but definitely knows how to sit for a treat.

He is really sweet boy and ready for a forever home!  His foster home is in Katy.  To learn more about Charlie – please complete an adoption application.

Charlie is a red tri male.. 3 years old and 35 lbs. .. Again, the child is allergic.. Says he is good with kids and loves to cuddle but he barks and sheds… 🙂  We will find Charlie a home that wants an Australian Shepherd.. We will get him vetted and evaluated by his foster home in Katy.. He should be available for adoption at the end of June..
